Welcome to my place. I've got things here that I find fun, interesting, intriguing, tasty, funny....whatever. It will most likely change regularly, as I learn HTML coding, so check it out every once in a while. Tioriadh!

Cycling

This is about the ride!! 2 wheeled speed and adventure. Here you'll find links to some of my favorite cycling sites, some pics, and announcements. Even though you won't find much here about mountain bikes or track, specifically, I am not biased against either; I just happen to ride road bikes, both geared and fixed. My road bike is a 2001 Fondriest Status steel frame, with Campy Chorus components. The fixie is a ~1974 Mondia Super road bike converted to fixed gear.
Since I've moved, and my commute is now ~15 miles instead of 6, I'm mostly on the Fondriest. I've ridden the Mondia once to work, and actually had a really good ride. The saddle isn't very comfy for long rides, but it didn't bother me. It's such a pain to switch all the lights and fenders from bike to bike, so I've been sticking to one.

Personal

What a weekend!! I can't believe how great it was. Everything was beautiful, Cindy most of all!! To have a wedding go as smoothly as it did was a dream. Both families came together and were just wonderful. We all spent sunny days relaxing and getting to know each other. The ceremony was great. The kids were about as perfect as could be. Can you imagine a wedding ceremony with 11 young-uns, and not a thing went wrong?? I am truly blessed to have a wife as amazing as Cindy, a family as awesome as mine, and now to get to share both our families with each other....wow!! Thanks to everyone!!
Started more classes at Edmonds CC: Designing Network Security, and Digital Forensics I. Trying to stay awake in the Net.Security class. That kind of information management stuff just isn't my bag. On the other hand, the Forensics class rocks!! Love that data recovery and finding files and hidden data----Oh baby!!! My tractor is cranked!

Recipes

Not quite as active in the kitchen as I was. Classes are taking up lots of my mental-space.
There are some recipes here that haven't been tested by me yet, but most of them have been made by someone I know (and trust; noone's died yet!).
I'm still working on getting all of Brent's recipes here, most of which I haven't tried yet. I've now added a separate page for his recipes, and still kept them listed on the main page. I made the Vienna rolls recently, but had a brain spasm and cut the dough into 6 pieces instead of 12, and then wondered why the hell I had such huge rolls and why anyone would make rolls that big. Doh!!
My favorite of Brent's recipes has got to be the Yam Waffles!! Sooooo good! I've tried 2 different kinds of yams, with 2 different results. We seem to like the Red Garnet yams best. More experimenting to come!!

Linux

Links to sites that are Linux flavored, directly or indirectly. I am not quite a 100% Linux guy (probably 95%), but I do most of my home stuff on Linux (except for games; shows you how much time I spend playing games). I like it's structure better, it's inherently more secure, and it doesn't cost much, if anything. It takes a little more know-how, but it can be fun to learn it and mess around. If you're interested, I can tell (or show) you more about it.
I'm using Mandriva 2007 Spring on the home PC and the lappie. I'm going to have to upgrade the PC soon, both for forensic work and it's just getting old.

Misc

Links to stuff other than Linux. I can show you the way to true inner harmony, peace, love, ripe avocadoes.....well, at least some funny comics and time-consuming games
