Sift dry ingredients together. Cut shortening into flour mixture with pastry cutter until it resembles cornmeal. Add milk and ice water to from hard dough. Roll dough to 1/2 inch thick, fold in half and roll again. Repeat rolling/folding 300-500 times (Yeah, right!!). Cut with biscuit cutter, prick with fork and brush melted butter. Bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees.
