Instructions

Sift flour into bowl and stir in beer, pinch of salt, and oil. Stir to blend roughly, leave some lumps. Cover with plastic wrap and let stand in warm place 3 hours. Stir in beaten egg yolk. When ready to use, beat egg white until stiff, and gently fold into batter.

Notes

Enough batter for 1-1/2 lbs. shrimp.
